I'd like to get 800-1000 CCA and be at 20lbs or less, I don't want to spend more than say $250 delivered to CT.DANGER: Lead Acid Batteries contain: Lead, Sulfuric Acid (Electrolyte), Lead compounds and Arsenic. boys boys clearly understand this stuff and I'm not sure if the technology has advanced in the year since this thread started. If anybody is interest I have some info that I will email. CCA is not a useful rating on a LifePOP4 pack. I have plenty of the 20ahr prismatic cells to make packs that will be 1200 CA easy and have some of the original packs.

I'm looking at sourcing some of the new cells for next year. They invented the chemistry and developed the manufacturing process.

To bad A123 couldn't make the business model work. As long as you keep the 13.2v (12v replacement) pack properly charged (including periodic balancing) my packs have been very reliable. That's why I haven't gotten into them for my packs. Especially when all of the reasonably priced BMS are made in China with the Chinese components. The battery management systems (BMS) add weight and complexity so the reliability is affected. LOL If you know how the best chemistry performs all the rest are going to be worst for a weight. Which is a good thing because I'm a ****ty salesman. People think if your trying to sell something you can't be believed. The Antigravity is about 770 CCA and less reserve than Starkpower shows That 4.6 lbs equates to about 24 cells in Rich's batteries and also a 24 cell Antigravity. They're using the same chemistry as other manufacturers but somehow get considerably more CCA and reserve out of the same weight battery. you know much about lithium batteries like Rich does you'd see why the numbers on the Starkpower don't really add up.
